Dryad Networks

Ultra-Early Wildfire Detection for Community Protection

Powered by Dryad Silvanet Sensors

About Dryad Networks

We use a large-scale IoT network of sensors to provide the earliest possible wildfire detection, as well as valuable forest insights and analytics.

The Dryad Silvanet system is based on a wireless, solar powered wildfire sensor network communicating via LoRaWAN: the leading open-standard for long-range radio IoT networks. Our patented distributed architecture enables large-scale deployments in areas without existing network coverage.

Data collected by the Silvanet system is processed using cloud-based big data tools for analytics, monitoring, fire prediction modeling, and alerting.

THE EVOLUTION OF WILDFIRE DETECTION

From Detection to Prevention

Traditional systems react to fire. Dryad is designed to stop it from becoming one.

With advanced sensing, edge AI, and dense deployment, The new Silvanet Sensor transforms forests and communities into intelligent, self-monitoring environments.

Technology

Dryad Silvanet Sensor

  • Solar Powered and energy storage using supercapacitors. This removes the fire risk present with Lithium Batteries.
  • BME Sensor: Detects CO, H2, VOCs
  • AI powered EDGE computing
  • 10-15 years maintenance-free.
  • Durable, weather-resistant design

Dryad Silvanet Pro Sensor

  • Solar Powered and energy storage using supercapacitors. This removes the fire risk present with Lithium Batteries.
  • BME Sensor: Detects CO, H2, VOCs
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) Sensor
  • Particulate matter sensor: It delivers real-time measurements of PM2.5 while also providing mass concentration data for PM1 and PM10. The sensor uses lasers to sense matter particles in the air.
  • Kineis Satellite Connectivity (Uplinks only).
  • AI powered EDGE computing
  • 10-15 years maintenance-free.
  • Durable, weather-resistant design.
  • NFC Support

SCALING ULTRA-EARLY DETECTION

From Single Sensor to Community Shield

  • A single sensor detects within a radius
  • Multiple sensors create overlapping protection zones
  • Dense deployment ensures consistent detection regardless of conditions

Result: Faster detection + better situational awareness + improved fire tracking

REAL-WORLD APPLICATION

Protecting Communities Like Cordillera, Colorado

Forward-thinking communities are deploying Dryad to protect entire ecosystems not just properties.

In places like Cordillera:

  • Sensors are deployed across forested landscapes
  • Detection happens at the earliest stage
  • Response teams gain critical time to act
